Foundation for the Localization and Innovation of Global Health Technologies (F.L.I.G.H.T.)

The Foundation for the Localization and Innovation of Global Health Technologies (F.L.I.G.H.T.) is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that was founded in Houston, Texas in 2022 by Rebekah Boyd, Charlie Emala, Mitra Nair, and Anjan Saha. F.L.I.G.H.T. aims to equitably redistribute health focused technologies through global partnerships with strategically positioned entities. F.L.I.G.H.T. is acquiring start-up funding through grants, fundraisers, and charitable donations (tax exempt). The proceeds will be subsequently directed towards projects that provide services to and/or directly invest in local entities that can reliably produce sustainable returns. Margins from operations will be utilized to cover the foundation’s overhead, conduct research, and expand global operations. F.L.I.G.H.T.’s flagship project is based in Sierra Leone, where partnerships with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, local businesses, and local hospitals (both private and public) are underway.
