At Safari Rally Kenya, the FIA Helmet Wearing Programme took central stage. Deployed in the country by FIA Member the Automobile Association of Kenya - AA Kenya with the support of the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Programme funded by the FIA Foundation, the programme raises awareness on the importance of wearing certified helmets. His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya, Hon. William Samoei Ruto PHD was joined by World Rally Championship drivers, Thierry Neuville, Grégoire Munster, and Kalle Rovanper?, FIA VPs for Sport Europe and AA Kenya Chairman Jinaro Kibet and General Manager Francis Theuri, as well as members of Kenya’s National Helmet Wearing Coalition to emphasise the life-saving impact of high-quality helmet use. Eddie Jordan was a legend of Formula One. He made an invaluable contribution to global motor sport throughout his life. All of us at the FIA would like to send our deepest condolences to his family and friends at this very difficult time. Eddie will always be remembered as a great sportsman and passionate ambassador for Formula One on and off the track.

The Road Safety Institute (RSI) Panos Mylonas, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Defence and the Hellenic Army General Staff, has launched a specialised road safety training programme for military personnel?in 2025. This year, the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission welcomes three new members representing the diversity of our global community. ? Joining the commission are: Firoozeh Seyedmehdi, Vice President of the I.R.Iran Motorcycle and Automobile Federation Kanae Fukushima?from the Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) Caroline Divies, President of the Women Commission at the Fédération Fran?aise du Sport Automobile ? The FIA WIM Commission, created in 2009 and chaired by?Burcu Cetinkaya ?etinkaya, promotes and supports the participation of women across the world of motorsport, both on and off the track. United in the mission to tackle the gender imbalance within the sport, the Commission strives to boost female representation, inspire the next generation of talent, nurture emerging drivers and professionals, and enhance visibility and support for women. Through these efforts, the Commission is committed to cultivating a more inclusive and diverse environment in motorsport.

A recent Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) poll found that two-thirds of Canadians see winter range loss as a major barrier to buying an EV. And among current EV owners, more than 65% have experienced it firsthand. The Canadian Automobile Association decided to put 14 electric vehicles to the test in real-world winter conditions to measure how fast they charge and how far they can actually go on a single charge in cold weather. At the ACI-SARA Safe Driving Centre in Rome (Vallelunga), the FIA and its Member, the Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI), celebrated BAT Italia as the first company in Italy to achieve the highest rating on the FIA Road Safety Index. The ceremony, attended by representatives from leading Italian companies, aimed to inspire others to adopt the Index and build a culture of safe mobility.
