We hope you had a merry Christmas and as 2023 comes to a close, we hope you're able to look back on a great year! Today we want to share an amazing case study that came from one of our newer partnerships in 2023. Lone Star Water in Houston, TX has been offering a maintenance plan for several years which includes: - Lifetime warranty on equipment - Annual RO filter changes - Free service calls - Water softener salt delivery $30/month The value of this plan is to guarantee any customer on it has soft water and doesn't have to worry about large unexpected expenses if their water softening equipment ever went bad. However, the salt delivery portion of the maintenance plan was the portion which was bogging down their team, their trucks, and everyone's time - which hurt the profitability of this maintenance program significantly. In October, they made the excellent decision to partner with EZsalt in order to hand off the salt delivery portion of their salt delivery service. With EZsaltGo, we were able to place drivers around Houston and within 10 days had trained drivers covering 90% of their customers. From sign up to deliveries being made was a total of 14 days and Lone Star water was free from salt delivery forever! Once we fully understood what they were doing, we suggested they offer our EZsalt Sensors into this maintenance plan as a "Pro" upgrade of sorts. They liked the idea and tried it out. The new premium plan now looked like this: - Lifetime warranty on equipment - Annual RO filter changes - Free service calls - Water softener salt delivery - Salt monitoring $100 EZsalt Sensor + $40/month We were both surprised when most customers who were offered the optional upgrade agreed to do it. We learned that the type of customer who would pay $30/month would gladly pay an extra $10/month plus purchase an EZsalt Sensor at full price if it meant they no longer had to keep track of their own salt. Fast forward to today and their customers love the new program. Rather than calling in to schedule a salt delivery, and getting booked 7+ days out, they can now book online through a salt ordering page we set up for them and get salt as soon as the next day. We take care of the delivery from there. Lone Star's team and trucks are able to focus on the work that makes them money while we handle the "grunt work" of salt delivery. We're estimating that by the end of 2024, Lone Star water's maintenance plan will be billing over $24,000 a month and serve over 600 customers. This is a book of business that could potentially be worth over $800k if they ever decided to sell.
