EYEN is the first youth organization to join REN21’s Steering Committee! ???? On March 27th, EYEN officially became part of the main governing body of REN21, reinforcing the voice of youth in shaping the future of renewable energy. ?? What is REN21? It’s a global network uniting governments, industry, NGOs, scientists, and academia to drive the transition to a renewables-based economy. Through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, REN21 creates an enabling environment to accelerate change. ?? As part of this dynamic community, EYEN is committed to empowering youth voices in the energy transition—bringing fresh perspectives, fostering dialogue, and driving real impact. Carlotta Ferri will serve as EYEN’s representative on the Committee, with the support of EYEN's Board. ? ???? Powering a Green Future - From the Ground Up! How can cities achieve net-zero by 2030? By putting citizens at the heart of the energy transition! ????? In her latest article for the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, Bettina P?ri spotlights the European Youth Energy Forum (EYEF) and its bottom-up approach to tackling the biggest energy challenges. ? ?? Active citizen engagement is the driving force behind real change. At this year’s EYEF, 50 young professionals and students came together to develop bold policy proposals on energy poverty, community engagement, and electric mobility. One standout idea? The Community Energy Ambassador Program, designed to bridge the gap between citizens and technical energy topics! ?? Their work culminated in the “Sustainable Cities of the Future” position paper, presented at COP in Baku, featuring six actionable proposals to shape climate-friendly cities. ?? ??
