ExxonMobil supplied a bio marine fuel blend to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), as the vessel operator was looking to test a fuel that aligned with its evolving environmental strategy. MOL reported that the trial was a success, both in terms of achieving an estimated 20% reduced lifecycle CO2 emissions compared to conventional marine fuel oil (according to MOL analysis) and reliable engine operations.
