?? Expo modules simplify the process of wrapping existing native libraries for iOS and Android so you can use them in your Expo apps. This is an important capability and we want everyone to feel confident with their wrapping so Alberto Moedano packaged up this tutorial video to show you how it's done. In the video he uses the Expo Modules API to create a Charts Module by integrating two existing open source libraries. ?? This is an all-in-one tutorial for learning how to build a full stack React Native Uber clone. No corners were cut in the making of this tutorial. It's a remarkably thorough 15 screen application. You'll learn how to use Expo Router, API Routes, and Expo Location. The stack includes Postgresql, TypeScript, Stripe, Tailwind, Clerk.com, Neon and more... Amazing work here from the team at JavaScript Mastery: https://lnkd.in/gQkJqDNF

Just after the excellent React Native 0.76 milestone release, here comes Expo SDK 52, just as great. There’s a huge changelog and many expo package updates. My favorite items are: ?? New Architecture enabled by default for new projects, opt-in for existing ones. Expo Go now only supports the New Architecture. ?? Expo Router 4, React Navigation 7 ?? Universal Server Components and Server Actions (experimental) ?? DOM Components with the ’use dom’ directive for incremental migrations or seamlessly integrating a WebView ?? React Native DevTools ?? Universal Tree Shaking (experimental) ?? React Compiler (experimental) https://lnkd.in/gsJtmhC2 #reactnative

In this livestream we'll be joined by Krzysztof Magiera the Director of Engineering at Software Mansion. He'll do a live demo Radon IDE - the VS Code extension that aims to streamline development of React Native and Expo applications. You can read more about Radon here: https://ide.swmansion.com/ The current version supports developing on macOS for Android and iOS platforms, and on Windows for Android with the current list of features available: ? Managing iOS and Android simulator (for now only iPhone Pro and Pixel 7 skins are available) ? Automatically build and launch your project (keeping track of native or javascript updates automatically) ? Integrated debugger always available – when running the project you can set breakpoints in the editor and don't need to bother with any additional configuration to get your application stop at those breakpoints ? Element inspector that jumps to component code ? Integrated console log output panel that links to file/line with the log statement ? Preview package that allows for working on components in isolation (render single component instead of the whole app) ? Expo Router integration with browser-like URL toolbar ? Easy access to device settings for text size and light/dark mode Join the stream to see how you can use Radon to speed up development.

?? Launch Party day 5: Managing API keys and secrets across environments just got easier with the new EAS environment variables ?? Today we are introducing the ability to securely store all environment variables in EAS and keep them in sync between EAS Build, EAS Update, and wherever else you need them. These environment variables can be isolated to development, preview, and production environments and can be synced to your local machine or another CI environment with a single command. Check out the blog post from Szymon Dziedzic, Keith Kurak, Jon Samp, and Piotr Szeremeta for more details: https://lnkd.in/gr5_bMt2

?? Both the Bluesky Social and Phantom apps are built with Expo. Need to get those other 3 on Expo as well. No reason they shouldn't be.
The #1 and #4 apps in the iOS App Store are made with Expo today.
