Last week, a group of ExplorUS leaders came together to reflect on and learn from an unbelievable 2024! From launching operations at Crater Lake in under 60 days to doubling in size with the incredible team from Vista Recreation—and raising over $97,000 for ExplorUS Cares—there was plenty to celebrate! ? The energy, collaboration, and wisdom shared will undoubtedly fuel an even stronger season ahead. ? A huge thank you to everyone who made this conference happen, with special appreciation for Alicia Cordova, Kristi Wallace, and Rosie Breheny—whose dedication brought it all together. ? And a sincere thank you to our owner, Peter Nolan for his leadership, inspiring words, and generous support of ExplorUS Cares. Punxsutawney Phil may be calling for a longer winter, but we’ve got our sights set on spring! ?? This year, we’re excited to expand our operations to several new locations across the country, including brand-new cabins at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park in southeastern Missouri—set to open this April! Despite the name, Johnson’s Shut-Ins is anything but off-limits. This stunning natural area features unique rock formations that create narrow, rushing streams—perfect for cooling off in the summer sun. Located near Taum Sauk Mountain (yes, Missouri has mountains!) and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, these cabins put guests right in the heart of it all. We’re proud to be operating these state-of-the-art cabins, which feature modern furnishings, full kitchens, and dedicated dining areas, plus Roku TVs and internet connectivity for a perfect balance of comfort and adventure. And that’s not all— our operations also include the park’s two gift shops and dining services, which offer plenty of keepsake options and refreshments to complement a day of exploring.
