If there's one thing we can count on at Visit Buffalo Niagara, it's collaboration! Collaboration continues to be the name of the game in our industry. Fortunately for us, our partners throughout Buffalo and Erie County really understand that fact. Last week, our Marketing and Social Media Manager, Kate Scaduto, was invited to join Explore Buffalo and Big Ditch Brewing Company for a collaboration highlighting different budget friendly activities around Buffalo. The final product of this collaboration came in the form of a vlog-style video, which was then shared to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook Reels across three different profiles. Be sure to check out the full video below, and make sure you're following us on social media for more collabs like this one! Happy first day of classes UB! Many of our WiSE students have been on campus since WiSE early move-in kicked off last week. We welcomed over 80 new students with an icebreaker ice cream social Tuesday evening. Wednesday we met #UBSEAS and #UBCAS faculty and staff during breakfast, enjoyed a bus tour of Buffalo with Explore Buffalo then visited the Buffalo Museum of Science and got to meet with their Chief Scientist and hear about her STEM journey. Thursday was "choose your own adventure" day where students had options that included: kayaking on Lake Lasalle, hiking in Letchworth Woods, checking out the E-sports lounge, visiting the DREAM hub, tabletop role-play gaming, and scoping out where there classes are. And we couldn't have done it without our amazing returning student volunteers for leading group activities, campus tours, and sharing their own student experiences and helping our new students feel like a part of our community!

Last month, we embarked on an engaging "Prohibition" boat cruise aboard the Miss Buffalo with Compeer CORPS. Departing from Erie Basin Marina, we enjoyed a two-hour exploration around the Niagara River and Lake Erie. Our sincere thanks to Explore Buffalo and our knowledgeable guide, Rob, for providing an insightful journey through Buffalo's Prohibition history. The experience was both educational and enjoyable, fostering great connections among participants. We deeply appreciate this enriching experience and look forward to more opportunities for growth and learning. ???? #ExploreBuffalo #BuffaloHistory #Grateful #Tour #Buffalo #LakeErie #Niagarariver #CompeerCorps #Compeer #CheckOnYourFriends
