We are thrilled to announce that National Fuel Gas Company will be sponsoring our Young Professionals Program again this year! ?? We have extended our application deadline for this year's class to FRIDAY, MARCH 21, so that more people can take advantage of the program. Participants will not only gain an in-depth understanding of Buffalo's history and neighborhoods, but have opportunities to network with other program members and engage with community leaders. The group gathers from 2-6pm on the second Thursday of every month from April to December. Each meeting includes an in-depth tour of a different landmark building or neighborhood, conversations with community leaders, and wrap up with a happy hour. Doors Open Buffalo is a free community event providing exclusive access to 34 downtown locations, building civic pride in our city's architectural treasures, adaptive re-use, and local businesses. In 2023, Doors Open brought over 5,000 visitors to Downtown Buffalo. Doors Open Buffalo is back this Saturday, September 28 from 10 am - 4 pm. There will also be a dedicated Quiet Hour for visitors with sensory needs from 9 am - 10 am on 9/28. If there's one thing we can count on at Visit Buffalo Niagara, it's collaboration! Collaboration continues to be the name of the game in our industry. Fortunately for us, our partners throughout Buffalo and Erie County really understand that fact. Last week, our Marketing and Social Media Manager, Kate Scaduto, was invited to join Explore Buffalo and Big Ditch Brewing Company for a collaboration highlighting different budget friendly activities around Buffalo. The final product of this collaboration came in the form of a vlog-style video, which was then shared to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook Reels across three different profiles.
