The ladies of SoCalGas were happy to support the Women in STEAM Career Day organized by EXP - The opportunity engine at Los Angeles Harbor College. We joined 30+ exhibitors and connected with 400+ young women on topics ranging from careers, educational journeys, and being a woman in the industry. One thing was clear between Edith Moreno, MBA, Daria Mazura and I, SoCalGas truly values its team members and their contributions. We hope these young women will one day consider a career at SoCalGas!

I am still fully energized from my keynote with EXP - The opportunity engine! What an amazing moment we all shared. I keep replaying the countless hands that went up every time I shared my first-gen experiences—stories from my childhood and my journey as a young woman navigating the world. The connection in the room was undeniable. We saw each other. We understood each other. It was also incredible to discover just how much I have in common with EXP’s CEO, Mary Tran. What an absolute gift—to be known, to be seen, and to stand in a room where our experiences resonate so deeply. Thank you, EXP, for the opportunity to share, connect, and grow together. I think yesterday was the highlight of #WICWeek for me, and it's been an amazing week... Swinerton participated in EXP - The opportunity engine Women in STEM Career Day for high school girls. We met so many impressive bright and talented students. As part of the event, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel moderated by C.J. Nord, CSCP, C.P.M. with Hannah White and Emily Kirkbride. After the panel, a student handed me one of the best notes I've ever received. I loved our discussion, and I am inspired by all the amazing women and girls in STEM!

Grateful to have been part of EXP - The opportunity engine Women in STEM Career Day representing WTS Los Angeles at Los Angeles Harbor College. I had the chance to mentor and connect with students during Lunch with a STEM Professional and interview with an inspiring high school woman in STEM - great conversations about career paths and opportunities in our field. As we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women in Construction Week, I’m reminded how important it is to uplift and empower the next generation. Representation matters!
