Guys, here's the big takeaway for real estate agents, home sellers and buyers on fortified roofs, they should hire a fortified roof inspector to evaluate the home for already available wind mitigation discounts on the home and to consult on the feasibility of getting a fortified roof. Understand that a fortified roof just represents the highest end of wind mitigation discounts, but there are other discounts to possibly be gained, even if the roof is not replaced all the up to fortified roof standards: https://lnkd.in/grBBhpjv

Solid interview of Louisiana Insurance Commissioner, Tim Temple. People ask me my opinion on the man, 2 things. 1. Who would want that job? 2. I think he is largely doing a good job. There's a few things I'd do differently, but wouldn't we all. Look for the Republican-dominated Louisiana Legislature along with Temple to bang heads with Governor Landry, who takes a healthy amount of contributions from the tort attorneys over the matter of auto insurance reform. Landry has already taken pre-emptive shots from his mansion, suggesting that last year's property insurance changes have not helped Louisiana's citizens: https://lnkd.in/gwD6F_ma
