Since the NFIP changes I'd say the number of people dropping their flood insurance has doubled because of the rising rates. It is my opinion that flood insurance premiums should be subsidized by the federal government: https://lnkd.in/gPEpcW_D.

One of our ready reminders to our clients and others is there is no such things as a "No Flood Zone." There are "Low" and "Moderate Flood Risks." I bet most of the North Carolina flood properties were "Low" and "Moderate Flood Risks." Real Estate Agents, please never use the term, "No Flood Zone."
