With these acquisitions, the companies now have five operational projects in the United States. ??Google announced that it has signed a contract for over $100 million in carbon removal credits for 2024. The company highlighted investments in a variety of technologies, such as direct air capture (DAC), biomass capture and biochar, enhanced rock weathering (ERW), and restoration of natural carbon sinks. ??Google has invested approximately three times as much as it committed to in March 2024 to contract for at least $35 million of carbon removal credits over the next 12 months. ??EU decarbonizes transportation by investing $439 Million in alternative fuels Infrastructure Projects. ??The European Commission declared that it would provide €422 million (USD$439 million) to 39 alternative fuel infrastructure projects in order to facilitate the shift to cleaner transportation. ??The European Union Commission has chosen projects that will fund around 2,500 light-duty vehicle and 2,400 heavy-duty electric recharging points along the Trans-European Transport Network, as well as 35 hydrogen refuelling stations for automobiles, trucks, and buses.
