The team connected with meeting and event planners from the Northeast, sharing information about Kissimmee’s sunny meeting and event spaces, activities for groups, and promoting our "It Pays to Meet in Kissimmee" meeting incentive and sustainability initiative. As the #CSR sponsor, we also highlighted how Experience Kissimmee supports meeting planners by linking them with services such as team building and CSR activities that make meetings memorable while leaving a positive impact in our local community. ?? The Florida Society of Association Executives' annual event featured inspiring speakers, fostering collaborative conversations and networking opportunities with planners of association meetings. ?? Virtual Presentation for Texas-based Meeting Planners – our team hosted a webinar for meeting planners in Texas, providing information about our amazing Kissimmee meeting hotels (no two alike!) and event venues, the variety of activities for groups and meeting participants, complimentary services to support planners, and our cashback meeting incentive aligned with our sustainability initiative. The Experience Kissimmee team attended the St. Cloud Economic Development Forecast event at Osceola Heritage Park, where experts shared insights on economic growth. It was a wonderful gathering of industry leaders and change-makers, including our own Frida Bahja, Ph.D., who discussed the tourism economic impact alongside various of Experience Kissimmeee’s Board members. Key topics included workforce innovation, economic resilience, tourism impact and the exciting investment opportunities that await the City of St. Cloud. We had an incredible time at Osceola History’s Dine with the Departed event at the Historic Rose Hill Cemetery in Kissimmee. This unique outdoor fundraiser supports Osceola History's mission to collect, preserve and share the rich history of Osceola County. The evening began with a twilight dinner and auction among the resting places of some of Osceola County’s most influential past residents. The atmosphere was both serene and captivating, making it a truly memorable experience. After dinner, we embarked on a guided lantern-lit tour through the cemetery. This special meet and greet with Kissimmee residents of the past was both educational and entertaining, as we heard lively stories from the "departed" themselves. We had an amazing time at the Explore Kissimmee event, where we had the privilege of watching the Osceola Magic play at Osceola Heritage Park! Our partners enjoyed fantastic networking opportunities along with delicious food and drinks at the Heritage Club, and even got to high-five the players as they stepped onto the court! We also raffled off six VIP seats right next to the court. And to top it all off, we witnessed a phenomenal game where the Magic clinched a thrilling victory in overtime by just one point! Our Industry Partner Relations team recently conducted an in-depth "Mastering PartnerNet" training session at our office, which equipped our partners with essential skills to effectively navigate their partner portal, helping them enhance views and clicks on their website listings. Three of our team members had the incredible opportunity to attend Dining in the Dark, an event hosted by Lighthouse Central Florida. This unique dining experience immerses guests in a world of taste, smell, sound and texture — all in total darkness. The event powerfully illustrates the isolating conditions that can result from vision loss. Guests enjoyed a multi-course gourmet meal served by the Orlando Police Department’s SWAT team, who expertly navigated the pitch-black room using night-vision goggles. As the lights gradually came up, we emerged with a profound understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with vision loss. Supporting Dining in the Dark helps fund Lighthouse Central Florida's vital services, impacting hundreds of people living with blindness and vision loss each year.
