Exodus Refugee Immigration

Last week at our gala, we honored Alsco Uniforms as our Employer of the Year! Exodus started building a relationship with ALSCO in 2018 at its facility on East Vermont Street, downtown Indianapolis. We continued to work with ALSCO management through the pandemic and strengthened our relationship with them in 2023. This year, ALSCO has hired 27 refugees, many of whom are very vulnerable or came with little or no English ability, or prior schooling. ALSCO stands out by communicating their needs well and working closely with the employment specialists at Exodus. They use creative communication and training to ensure their employees are well-trained and know the expectations. They have allowed our employment specialists to attend pre-shift meetings and assist with interviews, training, and interpretation for refugee employees. ALSCO provides outstanding entry-level positions for our clients who are looking to start their first job in America. It means so much to our new neighbors to have a reliable job and an understanding employer. Exodus is grateful to have a strong relationship with ALSCO, and for all they do to help welcome refugees to our community!

Our Employment team helps clients find what we sometimes refer to as their 'first' jobs, as they settle into their new homes here in Indiana.
