???????? Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.????????? Did you know that more than 6 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease, and nearly two-thirds of them are women? Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S., and as our population ages, the number of individuals affected is expected to more than double by 2050. At Eximia Research, we’re dedicated to advancing treatments for Alzheimer’s and dementia. Our ongoing studies are exploring cutting-edge therapeutics, providing hope and options for patients and families affected by these conditions. With studies enrolling across the country, including our locations in Raleigh, NC, Des Moines, IA, and several in Florida, we are focused on research that covers specific aspects of Alzheimer's and dementia, including managing symptoms like agitation. Many of our trials are available for patients aged 50-80 with mild to moderate dementia, ensuring that we are targeting treatments for the individuals who need them most. However, there are studies at some sites for adults of all ages. If you or a loved one could benefit from participation in groundbreaking research, learn more about our studies and join us in making strides against Alzheimer’s. Additionally, while healthy aging can't prevent Alzheimer's, staying active could help you prevent or delay normal age-related decline. ·????Stay Physically Active:?Regular exercise, even moderate activities like walking, can boost both physical and mental health. ·????Engage Your Mind:?Keep your brain active by reading, learning new skills, or engaging in puzzles and games. ·????Prioritize Social Connections:?Strong social ties can improve mood and reduce risks of cognitive decline. ·????Eat a Balanced Diet:?Focus on whole foods, particularly those rich in antioxidants, to support brain health. ·????Get Quality Sleep:?Consistent, restful sleep is essential for memory and cognitive function.

Dr. Morgan joined Tidewater Physicians for Women in 1982. In the late 1990s, TPW became part of a larger group, Mid Atlantic Women's Care, comprised of eleven previously independent OB-GYN practices with a database of 300,000 female patients. In 1999, Dr. Morgan took on the additional role as Principal Investigator with Tidewater Clinical Research.?He has contributed to the success of more than 300 women's health clinical trials. As Dr Morgan explains, “My passion for clinical research is being on the cutting edge of clinical advancement and medical breakthroughs and being able to offer the choice of participation to my patients. As an Investigator, we are involved in better ways to treat and prevent diseases, which leads to enhancing the quality of care for our patients. Our patients enjoy gaining access to new treatments before they become widely available. This can be particularly important for those with conditions that have limited treatment options.” Dr. Morgan has practiced for 42 years as an OBGYN and over 20 years as a Principal Investigator conducting clinical trials. Join us in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Morgan! His commitment to research and quality care is an invaluable resource to Eximia Research.
