    When is it too soon to delegate as a small business owner??? One of the mistakes that I see business owners making is delegating too much too soon. Wait! What? Doesn’t every business guru preach “delegate, delegate, delegate”? I’ve seen many instances where small business owners hire others to perform the tasks they have been doing, usually with the goal of focusing on growth. But what ends up happening is they spend their days training, managing, and correcting mistakes, with growth activities always ending up on tomorrow’s to-do list. It doesn’t take long to notice that the owner’s pay is also delegated to whomever is now completing the task, leaving the owner with less pay than before they hired help. In some cases, I’ve seen the owner taking on debt to cover the payroll for those they’ve hired to replace them. But it’s not supposed to be this way! Nope, it’s not! I agree. And it doesn’t have to be this way. I teach small business owners how to scale their businesses while keeping their paycheck, delegating the right tasks at the right time, and building a team that supports their vision.
