Excentia Human Services is a nonprofit organization in Lancaster County that provides supports for people with developmental needs and autism throughout the lifespan. These services can start at birth with therapeutic and educational programs for children and their families – some will use services for only a few months, and others until public school services take over. We also pick up where school services leave off with adult day services, independent living, employment supports, and residential options. It’s our goal to provide comprehensive supports for as little or as long as they are needed. Mission To provide services throughout the lifespan for all people to have equal value and opportunities to lead productive and fulfilling lives. Employment Excentia offers a work environment where everyone is passionate about the mission and where employees know they make a difference each and every day. We offer full and part-time positions with a variety of shifts.

Happy Pride Month from Excentia! ????? At Excentia, we believe in the power of inclusivity and strive to celebrate diversity. Pride Month provides the perfect opportunity to honor all individuals and marginalized groups who have historically faced discrimination and barriers to acceptance. The Stonewall Riots, which took place in June 1969, were pivotal in shaping the LGBTQ+ movement today and how we celebrate pride. The Stonewall Inn, a sanctuary for the LGBTQ+ community in New York City, became a place of resistance and resilience against discrimination and police harassment. This month let’s honor this resilience and the spark of activism that transformed how we celebrate differences and advocate for diversity. #PrideMonth #InclusivityMatters

Last year, Millersville University and Excentia Human Services announced a partnership to address the challenges facing the human services workforce in Lancaster County, which included developing Excentia Human Services’ Center for Training and Professional Development and creating two customized training programs. Within the first year, Excentia Human Services hoped to graduate 15 employees from the program. They recently celebrated 44 graduates from the center, with more on the way. Mary Godin ‘15, director of development and marketing at Excentia Human Services, says the company has heard great feedback, particularly about the Excellence in Human Services program. “Most of this feedback centered on the fact that the course gave them the opportunity to enhance their leadership and managerial skills.” “What’s great is this program has participants in every facet of our organization, meaning upon successful completion of the course, their influence and learning will have far-reaching and dramatic effects on our organization, which will ultimately benefit our quality of service and employee morale,” she says.
