Special thanks to the children and staff of our community partner, The Neighborhood Center Inc. of Utica for inviting us to spend some time in their pre-K classes last week. Excellus BlueCross BlueShield’s Andrea MacDiarmid read fall-themed books to the children in support of their mission of enriching the lives of individuals and families through cooperative opportunities, resources, and advocacy which embrace diversity, promote empowerment, and foster responsible citizenship.

The Children's Miracle Network is a partner that we are fortunate to have and to support in the North Country. Each year The Border 106.7 and 94 Rock in Watertown hold an annual radiothon to benefit CMN at Samaritan Medical Center. Last week, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield's Andrea MacDiarmid joined them on air to talk about our mutual commitment to serving children in the North Country through world-class quality care that is close to home.

This Veterans Day, let us all take a moment to express our gratitude to those who have served and continue to serve. We were honored to help celebrate all veterans by participating in Saturday's Central New York Veterans’ Day Parade at the NYS Fairgrounds. Thank you for your service!

Meet Christopher Diehl, our Director of Clinical Pharmacy Programs and Education Experience. He is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of pharmacy related cost saving and quality initiatives with Accountable Care Organizations across New York State and oversight of pharmacy-related quality programs for Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial lines of business. He also works with regional pharmacy schools and organizations to provide learning experiences to student pharmacists.
