This month we swore over 300 new apprentices into the Steamfitters Local 602 family. While all apprentice classes are important, this is an especially significant group because it is the largest and most diverse apprentice class in our Local’s history. Please welcome the Steamfitters Local 602 Apprentice of Class of 2029 and let’s all wish them the very best as they embark on their training journeys.

Had a great time last night at Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Industry Night at the Terrace. Went with my estimator Kevin Parish and his wife Tiffany Green. I gathered a lot of good information about what’s going on in the industry. And had some great conversations with contacts such as Weston Gearhart, Michelle Rieve, Charles Bartlett, Denny Llaneza, Andy Redman, Matthew Warke, John Rizzotti, Christopher Thrift, Tom Wilson, Rodney Pierce, Chris Petza, Matt Dorsch, Christopher Posey, Todd Bell, Chance Smith, Ethan Armes, Gavin Allcorn, Ryan Ambrose, Ashley Carr, Robert Cardoni and Cindy Lam.

When I was heading back from a networking event I saw an event at the Carroll Motor Fuels High's location that just opened up on 10825 Beaver Dam Rd., Cockeysville, MD. It’s really great to see them having fun at showing people how they can save money on their gas as well as get a beverage or food when necessary. Ran into John Putnam and will discuss Business Fuel savings with my boss. It only makes sense to save on fuel costs.

Had an informative morning at Hunt Valley Business Forum’s 11th annual Commercial Real Estate Symposium. Thanks DENISE BUCHMAN for the invite. Today’s speakers were Eric Walter of Greenburg Gibbons, Lizzy Bennett Sweeney of Cushman & Wakefield and Patrick Smith, SIOR of Mackenzie Homes & Commercial Pty Ltd. My take away of this symposium was the Hunt Valley Towne Centre LLC and multi use area is expanding to not just for shopping and eating but also living and retirement living. For the commercial space in Towson and the I-83 area, office use is a destination not just for work and the medical arena is taking over many office spaces. For the Industrial arena continued repurposing of industrial spaces is the new norm. Also, the I-83 corridor’s growth is better than the national average. Had some great conversations with Danielle Beyrodt, Taylor Leonard, Dion Amato, Armand Shank, Jeanie Stambaugh, Meta Mooney, Brian Smedley, Chris Palmer, T Jay Dellinger, Patrick Smith, SIOR, Doug Copp, Rick Sheets, Deborah Slivensky, Redmond 'Red' Beam, Rick Vohrer, Kimberly Klacik and Bob Sansbury. Had an informative meeting at John Maggio’s Networking In Annapolis: Today Patrick Lee discussed Organizational Gravity. Is about how companies should work on the businesses not on their business. Companies like organisms constantly go through change. All companies have for things to work with talent, brand, strategy and culture and they all work together for a successful business. Quick adaptation is the key to survival When any change of worker or concepts happens throughout the lifetime of a business.
