What am I going to contribute to this person who’s an expert in quantum chemistry? (or whathaveyou) ?? I know I’ve talked about this very recently, but the theme keeps coming up, so I’m going to keep posting about it. That question, “What can I – little old me – contribute to this GENIUS person?” kept coming up for me a lot when we first started the podcast. Once we exhausted my personal network of people who had some personal connection to me… Those thoughts really started to kick in. I mean, I think I’m reasonably intelligent. But the guests who come on the podcast – they’re nothing short of brilliant. And so that would play in my mind. It didn’t even feel like “imposter syndrome” per se. Just facts. What I’ve come to realize over the last 2 years of doing this is that what I contribute is a place to share their story. *Their* story. Not necessarily the company’s story, or the technology’s story (although we touch on those too). So just another little pep-talk that when that little voice starts asking you what you have to contribute… You don’t have to be the next Rosalind Franklin or Louis Pasteur to add value to the life sciences. (Although if you are, that’s cool too) #lifesciences #biotechnology

Another great listen from Michael Paliotti, MS, MBA and Jon Chee! The True Power of Networking: It's about the Relationships, not just the sales. Networking is often viewed as a way to drive sales or opportunities, but at its core, it's about building meaningful relationships that go far beyond a single transaction. When we focus on genuinely helping others and contributing to our communities, we create networks that are supportive, authentic, and long-lasting. These connections aren't just about what you can get—they're about what you can give. In my experience, the most successful professional networks are those where the focus is on adding value, being a trusted resource, and fostering mutual growth. When you focus on doing good, the support and opportunities will follow naturally. #biotechnology #lifesciences #podcasts
