One of Our Biggest Failures: Our NFT Experiment Back when NFTs first took the world by storm, we saw an opportunity. The hype was undeniable, and we wanted to be part of this uncharted market. Without overthinking it, we jumped in and decided to create our own NFT collection. The concept? Inspired by the success of Ape collections, we envisioned an exclusive set tailored for Hollywood stars and celebrities—a unique, premium take on the NFT craze. We put in the work. We hired specialists to help us with smart contracts, registered on OpenSea, and started posting our creations. But there were two major things we underestimated: promotion and licensing. Unlike the top NFT projects that had massive community backing, strong influencer marketing, and relentless engagement strategies, we lacked the necessary social media push. But more importantly, we ran into legal issues—we didn’t secure the proper licensing to use celebrity likenesses. This significantly limited our ability to market and sell the collection. It was a tough lesson in the importance of community, visibility, and legal groundwork in Web3. But today, instead of letting our work fade into oblivion, we want to share it here. Maybe someone will appreciate the effort that went into it. Curious to hear—have you had any failed NFT projects? What lessons did you learn?
