The latest edition of Xtra discusses the landmark decision to headquarter GB Energy in Aberdeen. This news will provide a welcome renewable boost for the region, and the ￡8.3 billion of catalysing investment that has been pledged for UK energy growth will strengthen the city's aspirations of becoming the net zero hub of Europe. There’s a lot of work still to be done. Part of the reason Evolv Energies was formed was to establish a new way of engineering offshore wind projects – streamlining and de-risking a currently complex process. It looks like the UK Government is making bold moves too.... ? This proactive step from the government, creation of a partnership between GB Energy and the Crown Estate feels like a huge step forward.
