I've been looking for writing or resources around the theater organizations' responses to the rise and adoption of the internet in the late 90s. It seems to me that it must have fundamentally changed how we made theater, but I can't find much about that adaptation or what the general vibe was while it was happening. So I'm turning to y'all: Were you working in or leading a theater organization around 1997-2002? How did your organization respond to the internet? What were the questions that it brought up at the time? Was there a lot of skepticism about it? Did it actually change how we worked as arts administrators in the drastic way that it seems?
