Sowing Seeds of Change: Launching Our Digital Photo Gallery and Magazine Publication ?? As we enter the #16DaysofActivism against Gender-Based Violence—an international campaign running from November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to December 10th, Human Rights Day—we're proud to share an extraordinary story. This year, Evoca Foundation highlights the transformative Land for Women programme by our partner, Legacy Of War Foundation. Launched in 2019, 'Land for Women' supports women-led farming cooperatives by providing full ownership of their land. With tools, education, and resources, these women—many of whom are survivors of genocide and gender-based violence—are building sustainable farming businesses that benefit their communities and create a ripple effect of resilience and regeneration. Photography By: The moving work of Alice Kayibanda Kayisire, captures the beauty, strength, and determination of the women and the land they cultivate. Produced By: Evoca Pictures, bringing these powerful stories of transformation to life. Naza Alakija, Pandora Haydon, Shanley Mitchell, Ivana Lu?i?. At Evoca Foundation, we’re committed to elevating the voices of young girls who are already thinking about how they can make the world a better place. One girl we spoke to for our International Day of the Girl campaign shared her dream: “If I had the power to make my words become reality, I would use it to help people in need, especially the poor, and make sure their needs are met. If I had the power of healing, I would ensure that no one suffered, especially the sick. I would use my abilities to heal people and ensure that the elderly are healthy and cared for.” ???? Her compassion and hope are powerful reminders of the change these young leaders are ready to make. We celebrate the girls worldwide who aren’t waiting for permission to dream—they’re envisioning a better tomorrow and working toward it today. Our partners, like the Bella Foundation and Braveheart Ladies Football team, are helping to make these dreams a reality, and we are honored to be a part of their journeys. ? On October 11th, we honored the resilience, courage, and hope that girls around the world bring to their communities. In our latest blog, Hope for a Brighter Future, we reflect on the power of listening and understanding hope not as a distant ideal, but as a real, driving force for change. Through conversations with young women engaged in our grassroots partners' work, we heard firsthand their dreams, visions, and aspirations. These girls shared what excites them, what they want to achieve, and what a brighter future looks like to them. From Nigeria’s Bella Foundation, working to end child marriage, to the Braveheart Ladies Football team, breaking down barriers in sports, we heard stories that moved and inspired us. At Evoca, we’re proud to amplify these voices and champion the incredible work our partners are doing to make that future a reality. Join us in celebrating these inspiring young leaders and the bright futures they’re building. Hope for a Brighter Future: International Day of the Girl Child 2024 Today, on October 11th, we’re pausing to truly listen. The International Day of the Girl Child is a reminder to reflect on the unique challenges girls face worldwide and to celebrate their resilience, their joy, and above all, their hope. This year, the Evoca Foundation is honored to be part of this conversation. Our 2024 campaign centers on hope—not as an abstract idea, but as a real force for change. We connected with girls whose dreams are supported by the grassroots organizations we partner with, and through these conversations, we glimpsed the challenges they face—from climate change and gender-based violence to educational inequities. But we also saw their dreams, their aspirations, and their incredible resilience. Hope, for these girls, is not just an emotion; it’s a survival strategy. For them, it’s about holding on to the idea that tomorrow can be better. And the organizations we partner with are working to turn that hope into reality. In Nigeria, the Bella Foundation is at the forefront of ending child marriage by empowering girls to stay in school, shaping futures that they can call their own. The Braveheart Ladies Football team helps girls overcome social stigmas to chase their dreams in sports, showing them that they belong on the field—and beyond. That joy is what drives us at Evoca. We believe that hope grows when girls are given the space to dream, learn, play, and imagine a brighter future. It’s our mission, along with our partners, to protect and nurture that space. This campaign is about listening to the girls who are leading the way to a brighter future. It’s about believing, as they do, that a world where every girl’s hopes and dreams are supported is not only possible but within reach. Join us as we amplify their voices and imagine a world where every girl’s rights are upheld, their voices heard, and their aspirations realized. Together, we can help build that world. Please note: To protect their identities, the thoughts and experiences shared are presented in composite and anonymized form. The stories are inspired by real conversations and feature direct quotes but do not represent specific individuals. When a tree falls, it’s not an end but the beginning of a transformation. Fungi, insects, and plants quickly repurpose the fallen wood, turning it into fertile soil from which new life emerges. This dynamic, interconnected system inspires the way we operate at Evoca. Read more about our approach in our most recent blog "Embracing Ecosystem Thinking" https://lnkd.in/dKKyVFiE

As we continue to mark Women’s History Month, we are honored to partner with Youterus Health to highlight the five key uterine conditions that significantly impact women's lives. These common conditions—uterine fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), and cervical cancer—play a considerable role in women's health. Despite their prevalence, there's a global gap in understanding, funding, and research, making early screening and awareness more critical than ever. We're taking action to equip women and girls with the resources they need to protect their quality of life and make informed decisions about their health. We invite you to visit and share our campaign page to explore these topics further. Let's keep the momentum going! Your engagement could make a significant difference in someone's life. ?? https://lnkd.in/eG_qQyCU #UterineHealthAwareness #WomensHealth
