Happy International Women’s Day! Today, we celebrate the incredible women who make Every Day Action what it is—empowered, unstoppable, and dedicated to creating real change. From our volunteers, reallocators, and donors, your impact left a mark on our non-profit and to many others. We appreciate you! ??

We had our F.I.S.H. Warehouse open house this Saturday! F.I.S.H. stands for the Food Insecurity Shared Hub. Together, a coalition of local organizations are working to create a shared space that will increase all of our ability to operate and sustain our current outreach efforts across LA. Each organization provides mutual aid and food support of some kind to those struggling with food insecurity weekly.

Last Saturday, we gathered for an unforgettable Italian dinner with Epicurus Gourmet! A huge thank you to everyone who showed up and supported Every Day Action—your presence and generosity made all the difference in a night of community and fun. A special shoutout to Epicurus Gourmet for hosting us at your incredible venue and to Chef Escurio for crafting such a delicious meal. ??

Sam and I recently had dinner with Alyson from Care-it (@careitapp), an incredible leader in the fight against food waste. Her app is being used across the U.S. to rescue and redistribute food to those who need it most. Alyson has been a BIG supporter of Every Day Action, and we were grateful to catch up and discuss fire relief efforts, our work with F.I.S.H., and how we can continue collaborating into 2025 to make an even bigger impact. Every Day Action is dedicated to fighting food insecurity and food waste by rescuing surplus meals and delivering them to shelters, missions, pantries, community fridges, and unhoused communities across Los Angeles. We’re changing the conversation around food waste—not just in Hollywood, but throughout Los Angeles—by expanding partnerships with grocery stores, corporate offices, food festivals, and more. During Week 51, we rescued and redistributed 1,068.87 lbs of food to our communities in LA!
