Meet The Team: Hope Buzzelli Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici shares a video of Alumna Hope Buzzelli, now working as a restoration technician with EverGreene Architectural Arts, Inc. After earning her master’s degree in Painting and Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art, Hope took part in a summer program that profoundly shaped her path. What started as a way to deepen her understanding of #HistoricalPainting techniques for her fine arts practice grew into a passion for #Restoration and its scientific methods. Embedded Objects Find a New Home in the Princeton University Art Museum "As the opening of Princeton University Art Museum's new facility draws closer, the space has begun to transition from a construction site to museum - capable of housing the many extraordinary works of art from the collections that have been off view since 2020." The Winter 2025 article, speaks "about the steps taken to ensure the smooth incorporation of objects such as the sixteenth century Mallorcan staircase (pictured) and a medieval stone window from the Vaulcuse region of France, as well as a series of ancient Roman mosaics, into the fabric of the new Museum." We are back at Chicago Cultural Center! For the first time since the building’s opening in 1897, the Tiffany glass mosaics in Preston Bradley Hall will be renovated. Visitors can still access the Tiffany Dome. After April 1, they will be able to reenter the east wing and view a portion of the restored mosaics on the southeast wall. Up next, the DCASE will raise money to restore the rest of the mosaics in the hall and on the staircase. This project is the latest effort to bring the building back to its original glory; it follows the restoration of the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall and Rotunda in 2022, which was completed by the same project team. Attending the Annual Building Museums Symposium in St. Louis, MO this week? Be sure to stop by the #MissouriBotanicalGarden founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. This National Historic Landmark is a center for science, conservation, education and horticultural display — widely considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world. In the Stephen and Peter Sachs Museum, EverGreene conservators created exposure windows and, through the information gained from the various studies, revealed original decoration. Ceiling murals in the main room and the back room were traced and then recreated on canvas in our Brooklyn Design Studio. After the recreations were finished, they were shipped to back to the museum and installed onsite. We are honored to announce that WR Restoration has been selected by St. Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral and Father Cizmar as the Construction Manager for the cathedral's restoration. Following the devastating fire in May 2024, our team has been dedicated to supporting the cathedral's recovery. Our 3D Drone imagery, modeling and analysis is a key component in assessing and planning the restoration work. Under the leadership of Project Executive Jim Wamelink, we have assembled a distinguished team, including Bostwick Design Partnership, EverGreene Architectural Arts, Inc., Osborn Engineering and our experienced Craftsmen, to meticulously restore this historic landmark. Our collaboration with Radius Track will ensure the faithful reconstruction of the cathedral's iconic domes, symbolizing the saints and Jesus Christ. We are committed to preserving the rich heritage of St. Theodosius and look forward to its reopening in 2026. Our team "spent months cleaning the more than 30 ceiling panels with specialty materials applied by hand that wouldn’t harm the original paint, says EverGreene Founder Jeff Greene. They also cleaned and restored the coves between the ceiling and walls and the stenciled wooden beams between the ceiling panels.
