Is AI going to replace lawyers? I don't think so. But AI is already changing how we do legal work. Assembling a medical chronology used to require dozens of human hours. Now, thanks to AI, we do it in a fraction of the time. We started using EvenUp, a software tool that sorts through thousands of pages of medical records instantly. It can provide a chronology of events during a client's treatment. It also provides hyperlinks to the medical records, so we can always double-check the accuracy. In some instances, it is probably more accurate than what we were doing manually. We're also now leveraging AI in our firm to help us with: ? Drafting demand letters; ? Summarizing deposition transcripts; and ? Researching legal issues and updating our knowledge management system. I've been impressed with how good AI can be. It has already become a game-changer for our firm. The law is one of the most traditional industries, and I know a lot of us aren't comfortable using the newest technologies. I'm not comfortable with AI yet by any means. But I believe that the firms that adopt these AI tools today will be leading the industry a few years down the line. I'm interested to hear your take. Is AI changing how you run your business yet?
