Our team is honored to build a customized mentoring program for Women in Manufacturing! We are piloting the program with 3 amazing WiM Chapters - Women in Manufacturing Kentucky, Women in Manufacturing Northern Wisconsin and Women in Manufacturing Georgia - from mid-July to mid-October. We've built an awesome program framework that everyone has given great feedback on, and we can't wait to dig into the pilot and hear directly from mentors, mentees and Chapter leaders to make this program impactful and memorable - all while being a fairly 'light lift' for WiM Chapters. "Scope creep is the project equivalent of saying “I’ll just watch one more episode” at 11 p.m. Next thing you know, it’s 3 a.m., you’ve finished the entire series, and you’re contemplating learning Korean to watch the spin-off." I don't think we could have said it better ourselves! There's a reason that scoping a project is a pretty formal exercise. It's so that you have a boundary that clarifies what's IN.... and what's OUT! But stakeholders, customers, and sometimes even team members can get that little voice whispering in their ear about "one more thing..." What's the craziest scope creep you've seen? How do you control scope creep?

When you're considering who to trust when it comes to your workforce development needs, what criteria do you use? If you haven't really thought about that lately, may we suggest considering someone that demonstrates their commitment to connecting people with the skills and opportunities they need - even when no one is looking? With it being women's history month, we feel it's appropriate to help Stacey Schroeder "toot her own horn," so to speak. Not only was she honored as Mentor of the Year by College Now Greater Cleveland in 2018, but she also was selected as a Top 25 Under 35 Mover and Shaker by the The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club in 2021... and THEN she won the Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service in 2024.
