???Is filling up an electric vehicle cheaper than a gas vehicle? The math says yes - if you have access to home charging. CNET crunched the numbers in this article (https://lnkd.in/gj5EzZAb) that compares the costs of charging an EV versus filling up a gas tank. They found it's substantially cheaper to charge an EV at home (at the national average of 16 cents per kWh). But what about the millions of apartment and condo residents who don't have access to home charging? They're often reliant on public charging, which costs around 45 cents per kWh (source: https://lnkd.in/gjE8au7K). At this price, the monthly cost of operating an EV is similar to that of a gas vehicle.
