The past few days have been equal parts confusing, frustrating, and frightening for our nonprofit sector and the communities they serve. It is no secret that there has been a flurry of concerning executive orders, and that the future of funding and support for many local Evanston organizations and issues that matter to our community is uncertain. The potential removal of this funding and support impacts the lifelines that many nonprofits and community organizations depend upon to serve our most vulnerable populations. It's a stark reminder that political agendas and decisions, often made from afar, have real-world impacts on the people living and working in our community. Our message to our nonprofit partners and those who rely on their services is simple: we have your back. Things have been changing rapidly and are likely to continue to do so. But in moments like this ECF will always empower leaders, advance justice, and invest in Evanston...for now, forever, and for everyone. We are actively working to develop innovative solutions and alternative funding avenues for community organizations, should they be necessary. We will have more to share on this in the near future. In times like these, it's imperative to recognize that when good people unite for a just cause, no political obstacle can halt our progress. We will continue to fight the good fight, ensuring that compassion and community prevail over partisanship. Together, we are unstoppable. In Ubuntu, Sol Anderson
