The Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) Fund’s call for proposals is open until 18 April 2025. The BSAP Fund provides funding opportunities for projects that address key challenges facing the #BalticSea. The Fund can award financing to commercial or non-commercial actors for projects in the Baltic Sea Region and its catchment area for demonstration purposes, project preparation and development, project implementation and institutional support. ?? The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region is based on open and transparent participation, inclusiveness and multi-level governance. The wide thematic coverage of the policy areas provides opportunities for different kinds of stakeholders, such as youth organisations to participate and propose various kinds of activities.

The Baltic Sea Region Youth Forum (#BSRYF), supported by the Council of the Baltic Sea States, invites youth organisations and young people to share their priorities and concerns through an important survey. New study: Mapping Global Financial Support Opportunities for Zero-Emission and Energy Efficient Ships Despite technological readiness, high costs associated with conventional financing options may cause shipping companies to postpone their investments in zero-emission and energy-efficient ships. To address this challenge, the Danish Maritime Authority, under the Zero-Emission Shipping Mission, has mapped more than 70 global funding opportunities for shipowners. Key findings: ? Multiple funding options, including grants, guarantees, and loans from regional development banks ? Most opportunities are concentrated in Europe and the U.S., while funding is especially scarce in Africa and Latin America ? Application processes can be complex and often require government involvement. Read more ??
