This marks a turning point after months of deadlock, thanks to the Polish Presidency’s tireless efforts. With a balanced approach recognising that Category 1 NGT plants are as safe as conventionally bred plants, the Presidency has now been mandated to enter trilogue negotiations with the EU Parliament and Commission. ?? CEJA welcomes the Polish Presidency efforts to advance on this important dossier, and looks forward to the next steps until farmers can benefit from such innovations, as part of their sustainability toolbox.
