Our Senior Recruiter and DE&I Council Member, Samantha Goldfarb, was recently certified as an Adult Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. The goal of this skills-based training is to teach participants to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance challenges. In observance of World Mental Health Day, Samantha volunteered to share her learnings from that training with the rest of our corporate team. During her presentation, she touched on early signs and symptoms to look for in someone who is experiencing a mental health challenge, a 5-step action guide to help someone seek mental health first aid and shared ways to support self-care. She also spoke about the mental health and wellness resources our corporate associates are eligible for. This week, our Senior Field Trainer, Jamie Conner, hosted an educational session for the @Pro Beauty Association, Beacon Pop Up at Premiere Columbus. Over the past 13 years, Jamie has built her career as a waxing professional and trainer. In 2011, Jamie joined European Wax Center’s Franchise group and held the roles of Wax Specialist, Wax Trainer, and Regional Trainer. She then joined EWC’s Corporate team in 2019 as a Field Training Specialist and was promoted to her current role as Senior Field Trainer.???? ? Jamie is a perfect example of how waxing professionals can develop their careers and she is passionate about empowering others to reach their full potential by delivering impactful training programs.? ? During her session at Premiere Columbus, she focused on helping attendees see how they can reach their professional goals. They explored ways to increase their productivity by effective goal setting and aligning tactics to drive sales performance, and also explored how soft skills impact the retention of their guests!

We’re proud to share that our Senior Manager of Learning and Development, Gina Petak, was a guest speaker at the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business, Master Program Class – Methods of Adult Learning. Gina spoke on the value of learning development programs and how they contribute to driving overall business initiatives, and also spoke on how to use data to gain influence and engagement.? Attendees shared that Gina’s expertise and engaging style made a lasting impression!?

European Wax Center showcased at the National Domestic Violence Hotline 2024 National Conference to highlight our diverse support for survivors. Our initiatives, including our upcoming ‘Together for Hope’ fundraiser (Sept. 27-Oct. 31), 'Recognizing and Responding to Domestic Violence' associate training, Beauty Changes Lives Organization scholarships, and careers, provided a comprehensive view of our commitment. The attendees, including government officials, law enforcement, counselors, shelter directors, and advocates from across the U.S., were impressed by our efforts. Some remarked, 'EWC is delivering personal care with a purpose!' and ‘This is so unique for a waxing brand – truly out-of-the-box thinking!'?
