关于我们

The European Edtech Alliance (EEA) is a consortium of national trade associations and clusters working with founders and providers of education technology (Edtech), to support the domestic and international growth of these businesses and the innovation they represent. Formed in 2019, the EEA meets monthly to share best practice, compare research findings, development and policy insights, discuss common challenges and concerns and highlight areas of opportunity within our respective markets and beyond. Together we represent more than 2500 Edtech companies in Europe. Impressum: https://www.edtecheurope.org/impressum Privacy Policy: https://www.edtecheurope.org/privacy-policy

At the EEA, we believe that collaboration is key to sustainable digital transformation. As a member of the Digital Transformation Collaborative (DTC), we’re proud to support UNESCO in the creation of a Common Framework to improve collaboration in the digital transformation of education. The six pillar framework provides a common language to ensure the digital transformation in education is human-centered and sustainable. Find out more about the Common Framework here: https://lnkd.in/eVHJvseM #digitaltransformation #Edtech?

    UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education

This week at the Summit of the Future, governments will adopt the Global Digital Compact with the goal to advance a better digital future for all. A human-centred, sustainable digital transformation of education is key to achieving this goal. Yet around the world, as major digital divides persist, digital technology is failing to promote greater equity and inclusion in education. To change this status quo, we need to work together to steer technology towards expanding access to quality lifelong learning for all. That is why UNESCO has come together alongside colleagues from UNICEF, International Telecommunication Union, Global Partnership for Education and the partners of the Digital Transformation Collaborative (DTC) of UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition to launch a Common Framework for a more sustainable, balanced and ethical digital transformation of education. We have worked with governments and experts to identify six pillars that are essential for holistic strategies for using technology to achieve their education system goals: 1.???Coordination and leadership 2.???Connectivity and infrastructure 3.???Cost and sustainability 4.???Capacity and culture 5.???Content and curriculum 6.???Data and evidence These six pillars are a tool to help us work together – across sectors and stakeholders — more effectively, openly and collaboratively. This approach is just the start! We will keep supporting countries in every region around the world with the digital transformation of education in a meaningful and comprehensive way – including putting the Common Framework into practice. Thank you to the governments and DTC partners who contributed to this collective and supported our launch event in New York today. Read more on what each pillar means and why the compact is important in the comment below ?? ?? ??

From the urgent need to rethink learning environments to the challenges posed by smartphone bans, our webinar last week with the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE) was rich with important insights. In it, Daniel Wisniewski, PhD MBA, Secretary General of EFEE, boldly stated: “We’re talking about the transformation of the classroom itself… the transformation of the teaching profession itself. A complete makeover of what we know as a school.” The webinar also shed light on opportunities for collaboration between the formal education provision sector and the EdTech industry. With initiatives like EFEE’s EducAItion Project kicking off in October, the future is ripe for innovation. ???? Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eUHjCxze

?? A lack of solid evidence and the absence of a common understanding of what constitutes good evidence are key issues we have identified in our latest research paper: Evaluation Mechanisms: A Way to Increase Trust in Educational Technologies? ? These key issues are further complicated by the shortage of testing environments and resources for thorough evaluation. In this Deep Dive, we look at the crucial role trust plays in the EdTech sector and explore how it can be strengthened. We also identify three key types of evaluation frameworks relevant to EdTech: those led by the public sector, those driven by research, and those aimed at commercial validation. We believe that connecting these diverse approaches to quality and evidence assurance in education is essential. Building trust in EdTech will require a collaborative effort to ensure evaluation mechanisms are not only effective but widely recognised across the sector.
