?? More Realistic Robotic Simulation! ?? Reinforcement learning has revolutionized quadrupedal locomotion, with simulators like #RaiSim playing a key role in training robust control policies. ?? However, recent findings reveal that RaiSim does not fully comply with the maximum dissipation principle (MDP)—a fundamental rule in simulating rigid contact interactions. ?? In our latest work, we propose a simple yet effective correction to RaiSim’s contact #algorithm, ensuring more physically accurate simulations. Our experiments demonstrate improved #consistency, paving the way for more reliable #robotic training environments. ?? As you know, euROBIN project has launched two important Open Calls, which have now officially closed.??? Therefore, we would like to share with you the good results of the applications received.??? ?? In the 1st Open Call for collaborative projects, to develop #innovative software modules that allow #robots to perform everyday tasks and interact seamlessly with #humans. 65 applications were submitted from different countries. ?? In the 3rd Open Call, offering the opportunity to collaborate with leading #researchers and #engineers to integrate and test solutions on real robotic platforms. 52 applications from different countries have been submitted.
