We had the pleasure of hosting Aerospace Engineering students and alumni ???? from various countries during this international gathering, while showcasing the culture, cuisine, and Turkish hospitality of Samsun. We formed amazing friendships together. ?????? As future engineers, sharing our career goals and evaluating working and educational conditions across different countries was an inspiring experience. The event included fun activities such as a model rocket workshop, seminars, museum visits, campfire conversations, and city tour. Best moments were the times we introduced our traditional tastes and had warm, heartfelt conversations. ?? We would like to thank our professors who shared valuable information with us during the seminars: Güralp Ural, INMANO Aerospace Founder Mehmet Cevat Sunol, and one of our first graduates, Selehattin Selek, for their contributions. "Students are not good at recognizing, assessing their own skills and at demonstrating them to potential employers. Companies remain largely unaware of the skills which students can develop as officers in their student associations and are missing an opportunity." Students often struggle to effectively communicate their skills to potential employers, particularly those developed through extracurricular activities, such as being part of a student organisation. While these experiences lead to the development of valuable interpersonal skills, such as leadership and teamwork, companies may not be aware of them. Bridging this communication gap requires better alignment and communication between how students present their capabilities and how companies assess them.
