This past weekend, we hosted our first hackathon in Europe with Eurasian Startup Hub. I’ve never properly visited Amsterdam before - so we were completely new to the tech/startup landscape as we started announcing the event. Thankfully, we had overwhelming support from the first few participants who signed up, really getting involved and spreading the word among the local community. On the day, over 60 people came in, with 15 amazing teams forming on-site, each creating not just working prototypes, but full-scale projects with long-term vision in just 30 hours. Special thanks to the amazing mentors Maksim Koutun, Alex Beregovoy, Artem Grigorev for sharing their expertise and guiding the teams throughout. Spotlight to our judges: Alexander Chekan, Sergey Polezhaev Tim Tkachenko, Vladimir Krouglov, Vladislav Tankov, Sergey P. And of course, congratulations to the winning teams: 1. Team X: vision-based digital workout coach 2. SE18: AI travelling & accommodation assistant 3. HokusPocus.dev: event photo matching tool Huge thank you to our sponsors JetBrains, Nebius, PLATMA, 3S Money, Beyond Tech for helping us organize our largest hackathon to date. This was our first event abroad — many-many more to come!

We met Central Asian tech community in Amsterdam over the weekend ????
Meeting Central Asian talent in Amsterdam. Why Amsterdam? When looking at say tech communities globally you would find some commonly known hubs around the world like SF, London, Berlin etc - but no one talks about ecological fallacy, which is critical in case of sub-group focus (i.e. specific regions etc). Ecological fallacy, simply put, is when one makes assumptions about smaller sub-group based on a larger groups. Saying, just for example, that Berlin is a tech hub for Europe might not work for some sub-groups which have different academic, cultural and other background differences when compared to average dataset that leads to the notion of Berlin being a tech hub. Amsterdam is that one great example where no one talks about it being a tech hub, but when it comes to Central Asian talent, there is definitely a positive deviation that stood out to me the last time I visited. Explaining the reasons behind this would require a separate post, so I’ll save that for later... so for now, just trust me ?? Fast forward: I enjoy testing my theories quickly, so I decided to organise an event just 7 days before my travel plans (not the brightest idea ??), gathering some really cool people working at top companies, studying all over Netherlands and taking their time to travel on a gloomy Saturday afternoon just to meet each other and hear some of our fantastic speakers: Alibek Datbayev Temur Yusupov Akmyrat Kadyrov Sabina Basariyeva Amsterdam might well be one of the top places in Europe when it comes to finding top Central Asian talent ???? Really enjoyed talking to the crowd as we gathered ~60 curious and high energy people! See you next time Ams ????

Last week we visited Warsaw to meet the amazing community of founders from the CEE region. What an amazing night! It was a real pleasure to partner with the ū Hub | Startup Community in Poland for their FuckUPs night where founders and investors shared unfiltered stories about their failures and lessons they learned on the way. Special shoutout to Veronika Lindorenko, Klim Khaletski and Nick Mikulich, along with amazing partners Zubr Capital Investment Company and Beyond Tech for such a great event. As we begin to spread awareness about our hub, we have an amazing initiative in the works for founders and tech talent in Europe coming very soon!
