The EU Peers initiative aims to significantly increase the residential energy renovation rate by strengthening and upscaling the Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) movement. To achieve this, EU Peers has established an inclusive European Community of Practice for IHRS providers such as One-Stop-Shops (OSS) and supporters. As a starting point, seven Community platforms have been established to represent the fundamental structure of the EU Peers Community. Exchanging, learning and collaborating to solve common challenges is at the heart of the numerous Community activities. The EU Peers project (101120790 LIFE22-CET-EU Peers) is co-funded by the LIFE Programme of the European Union.

[New article] ?? ??HORIS investigates- What?will be included in the HORIS digital one-stop shop? ????HORIS has published its latest report, which collected information on the financial schemes, legal and regulatory frameworks for the pilot countries of Spain, Italy and Portugal.? ? Also included in the report was a list of technical measures adapted for each country's context. HORIS is making great progress and advancing the development of its digital platform. The extensive research gathered by partners will be fed into the platform to offer consumers relevant information for a smooth customer journey. ??The report includes: ??A database of public and private financing schemes available for home renovation and energy efficiency solutions in each country.? ??Maps?the legal and regulatory environment for home renovation in each country.? ??Identified and categorized technical solutions for home renovation in the analyzed countries. The 7th – and final – call for applications for the European City Facility (EUCF) is open until December 18, 2024! ?? This initiative, funded by the LIFE CET programme, provides financial and technical support to 71 local governments across the EU, Ukraine, and Iceland. It helps municipalities develop investment concepts related to their climate and energy action plans. ???? What does the EUCF support? - Feasibility studies - Market, stakeholder, legal, economic, financial, and risk analyses - Activities to mobilize resources for developing investment concepts (note: it does NOT directly fund actual investments) ??? Success Stories from Previous Beneficiaries ?? ?? Mechelen, Belgium: Mechelen used the EUCF grant to investigate the feasibility of co-owned condominium retrofits. The city identified building typologies from the 1970s/1980s with significant renovation potential. This work set the stage for funding from both public and private sources. ?? Donegal County Council, Ireland: Donegal County Council applied for the EUCF grant to set up an energy agency serving as an OSS. EUCF supported their efforts through engineering analyses, business case development, and stakeholder engagement. ???? ??
