According to the California Department of Public Health, rural Californians are more likely to be exposed to secondhand smoke at home and work than urban residents are. For solutions to secondhand smoke exposure in rural communities of Northern California, check out Communities Energized for Health (CEH), a project of ETR. They create meaningful partnerships with communities most impacted to: ?? Reduce secondhand smoke exposure in multiunit housing ?? Promote smokefree healthcare centers ?? Provide free cessation resources for community members to quit on their own terms To learn more about CEH and their work, head to our website: https://hubs.la/Q03bwlct0 #PublicHealth #Healthcare #Cessation #TobaccoPrevention #Smokefree

The Tribal Community Coordinating Center (TCCC), a project of ETR, is thrilled to host Tribal Youth Quest (TYQ) later this week! Haven’t heard of TYQ? At the event, Native youth have the opportunity to learn how to make a difference in their communities as it relates to commercial tobacco use. The event is designed to equip young people to engage with community leaders, explore Tribal priorities, and provide a space for connection all while focusing on the unique experiences and traditions within Indigenous communities related to tobacco. As these passionate youth learn about the power of policy, and the importance of health advocacy, they can be inspired to become the next generation of leaders who will shape a future of healthier lifestyles and impactful change for their Tribes. We can’t wait to share updates with you as the event nears! You can learn more about TCCC and sign up to join their monthly newsletter here: https://hubs.la/Q039RRnT0 #YQ25 #TYQ25 #NativeHealth #StopBigTobacco #NativeYouth #TobaccoPrevention
