We’re proud to continue nurturing the next generation of aviation professionals at our advanced MRO facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Through partnerships with leading educational institutions, we provide aviation students with hands-on training and mentorship. Following the 100% placement of the first and second batches from Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute the third batch has completed their On-the-Job Experience (OJE) program with us at Etihad Engineering. After rigorous screening and training, including HSE, HF, SMS, and CAR-145 courses, the trainees gained essential skills and safety knowledge at our state-of-the-art MRO facility in Abu Dhabi. They worked alongside experienced professionals in various tasks, growing in confidence and competence each day. Throughout the programme, trainees were closely supported, monitored, and assessed, with many now transitioning into full-time roles at Etihad Engineering. This success was made possible by the dedication of our teams, under the leadership of CEO Daniel Hoffmann, and key contributors such as Adrian Guirey, Prasad Kulathilaka, and the Technical Training team; Shaikha Alzaabi and the HR team; Haytham Nasir, Ahmed elgendy, and the Airframe and Components team; Niall Martin, Ali El Jamal, and the QHSE team; Rabeea Alshehhi and the Government Relations team. Special thanks to Selvakumar Murugadoss, our workplace instructor, and all our check managers, engineers, and technicians who shared their expertise with the trainees. At MRO Middle East today, we announced our intention to enter into an agreement with Satair, an Airbus Services company, for an Integrated Material Services (IMS) supply chain solution. The agreement, targeted at being signed within the first half of Q2 2025, will provide a comprehensive solution for consumable and expendable parts (C&E) required for our maintenance operations. The agreement builds upon our long-standing relationship with Satair, expanding the scope of collaboration significantly. Under this agreement, Satair will provide a supply chain service covering several thousand C&E parts from a variety of OEMs to enable consolidation and efficiency. This will be accessible via an Etihad Engineering exclusive and local stock managed by Satair. At MRO Middle East, we announced our intention to enter into an agreement L3Harris Technologies (L3Harris) under which Etihad Engineering would be appointed as L3Harris’ licensed repair centre for cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders in the Middle East. Daniel Hoffmann, CEO of Etihad Engineering, said: “We are excited about the opportunity to support L3Harris as their licensed repair centre in the Middle East. This strategic partnership would strengthen our component portfolio and enable us to offer OEM-level service and faster lead times on L3Harris aircraft components to our customers from around the world.” Simone Totti, Head of Avionics Aftermarket Sales at L3Harris Technologies said: “L3Harris is excited to strengthen our collaboration with Etihad Engineering through this new Licensed Repair Centre agreement.
