To help achieve the state’s ambitious energy savings goals.
关于我们
To help achieve the state’s ambitious energy savings goals, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, San Diego Gas & Electric, and the California Energy Commission created the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council (ETCC) with oversight from the California Public Utilities Commission. The ETCC Leadership Team has grown to include California’s largest municipal utilities, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The ETCC provides a collaborative forum for its members to exchange information on opportunities and results from their Emerging Technologies activities. Efforts are focused on identification, assessment, and support for commercialization of energy-reducing technologies, such as advanced lighting, water heating, space heating and air-conditioning systems, for residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers. The ETCC also focuses nationally and internationally by leveraging partnerships with universities and research organizations, consulting firms, professional associations, technology companies, venture capitalists, and utilities. By doing so, the ETCC draws on expertise in various fields for determining the potential of energy-efficient technologies. These partners provide key insight to technical and economic feasibility of technologies, as well as provide access to new discoveries being made all over the world. Finally, the ETCC creates linkages and supports integration across diverse utility initiatives such as demand response, storage, distributed generation, and electric vehicles.

What a privilege to moderate a panel of such amazing champions of embodied carbon at last week's ETCC Summit in Sacramento! I kicked off the discussion by explaining how a can of corn is like a building, (in kind of a small, perhaps abstract way), and then handed the presentation off to the real experts to talk about how industry is getting this done and navigating the first-in-the-nation regulations here in California! Great dialogue and valuable insights shared. #CALGreen #EmbodiedCarbon #LCA Jack Rusk, Irina Brauzman, Karin Perissinotto

I'm pleased to share that I presented two emerging technology studies on Dual Fuel Heating and Pool Heating Analysis at ETCC conference organized in Sacramento. I co-presented our energy modeling study with Cristalle Mauleon. P.E. from Lincus, Inc.. This study analyzed the energy costs saving and emissions saving potential of dual fuel heating system for residential homes in California. I also presented our initial findings of our emerging technology study on analysis of pool heating. This research aims to examine energy costs saving potential of several pool heating technologies such as gas absorption heat pumps, electric/hybrid and solar pool heaters. I also moderated two sessions on multifamily applications and other natural gas research studies such as carbon capture. Thank you ETCC and ICF for providing me this opportunity. #emergingtechnology #decarbonization #ETSummit24 #thisisicf California Statewide Gas Emerging Technologies Program (GET) SoCalGas
