The Northeast Suburban College Fair brought over 100 college admission representatives to Cleveland last night. Luckily for me, and a few fellow independent educational consultants (IEC’s) - we were privy to some coffee and conversation before the event. Learning about some wonderful small, private liberal arts schools in Ohio & a delicious lunch at Stancato's Italian Restaurant? Count me in! I had a great time at yesterday’s OAC Counselor Luncheon as admissions leaders from their respective universities spoke to the wonderful programs, initiatives, and bright futures of each institution. Though similar in size and all based in Ohio, they are very distinct! One commonality is their commitment to affordability. Don’t balk at the price tag! These schools are extremely generous in their financial aid, and can come close to if not even more competitively priced than a state institution. Our Heartland to Twin Cities tour participants got to meet Drake University's sweet mascot, Griff II, during their visit. Later, they took a traditional "Bellfie" at Luther College. Their tour continues with visits to St. Olaf College and Carleton College today!
