Early-stage startups are special. Founders have a great idea, a small and scrappy team, and are working double-time to make it all happen. Everyone in the business wears all the hats. Sometimes, it is HR - “But what if we don’t have HR yet?”... often, it is the Founder, but reviewing 100’s applications takes them away from where they are needed most. Lastly, it falls on the hiring manager, who is likely not trained in interviewing and who also has a more than full plate. How does this person squeeze in 10+ interviews each week along with their day job? Not to mention ensuring they hire the right person for every job. This friction is the most exciting kind. The startup is growing -yay! But how do they find the time to get it all done? This is where we come in. My goal in starting Estes Group, LLC. was to solve this exact problem. Helping startups make the right hires when they have limited or no recruiting support. We partner with startups in various ways, but my favorite is our embedded recruiter model. We operate as an extension of their team and brand. We take the heavy lifting of recruiting amazing talent off their plate. We are here when they need us and hope to work ourselves out of a job quickly. The best part? Their team gets their time back. Their candidates have an amazing experience. They make the right hires.
