On Wednesday, Oct. 2, ECCF joined MassHire North Shore Workforce Board, North Shore Community College, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, Lynn Tech at Lynn Public Schools, E Team Machinist Training Program, GE Aerospace Foundation and more than 60 employers and 30 resource partners at a recent employer resource fair. ECCF is so proud to support this work to build a robust #AdvancedManufacturing workforce in Essex County!

We were extremely sad to learn the news of Methuen Mayor Neil Perry's passing yesterday. Mayor Perry was a champion and supporter of ECCF's local work in arts and culture and mental health support for students, but more importantly he consistently served his community with passion and care. We'd like to express our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, and our sincere graditude for Mayor Perry, and for all who serve their communities.

We are thrilled to to welcome poet January Gill O'Neil to the stage at the 2024?Creative County?Essex County Arts & Culture Summit, happening on Sept. 27, 2024 at?The Cabot?in Beverly. January, who is an associate professor at?Salem State University, is the author of Glitter Road, a gorgeous selection of poems that "reclaim the vulnerable, intimate parts of a life in transition and celebrate womanhood..." She has also written three other celebrated books of poetry, is a co-winner of the 2022 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award and a recipient of several notable fellowships. There's still plenty of time to register for the Summit and catch January's breathtaking words, along with a host of other fantastic keynote speakers, musical guests, performers and panelists talking about issues that matter to our creative economy. ECCF's President & CEO Stratton Lloyd recently made an appearance on the Lynn Lowdown, a news program produced by LYNN COMMUNITY TELEVISION INC. and hosted by Danielle Vittori. Thank you, Lynn Community TV, for giving us the opportunity to talk about ECCF's work in #EssexCounty, including managing #DAFs and other charitable funds, and convening community members and leaders around issues like #WorkforceDevelopment, #DigitalEquity, #SmallBusinessResiliency, #Arts, #Culture and so much more. ECCF is #25YearsStrong: working with donors, nonprofits, community and business leaders, municipalities and state government FOR the 34 cities and towns of Essex County. And nothing is more important for the social sector right now than #collaboration. "We want people to work together," said Lloyd. "A lot of times philanthropy funds organizations independently and then organizations work independently. We're trying to flip that model and say, 'Well, what if we fund you to work together? How would you do it differently?'"
