Individuals with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) limit their food intake not due to concerns about weight but because of a lack of interest, sensory sensitivities, or fear of negative outcomes. Unlike typical picky eating in children, ARFID leads to severe restrictions that cause medical, nutritional, and psychosocial issues, such as weight loss, nutritional deficiencies, and difficulties in social or academic settings. #esperanzameanshope #esperanzaedc #arfidawareness #arfidtreatment #arfidrecovery #eatingdisorderstreatment #sanantonio
