Are EU payments moving to DLT? In a recent speech, the Governor of the Banque de France proposed a European Unified Ledger. What is it? This new public-private framework would be built around distributed ledger technology. It would include a wholesale CBDC. The digital euro could also be added in the future. It would (potentially) support the development of the Capital Markets Union (CMU) while preserving the two-tier financial structure. But why is DLT necessary? This past week, we engaged in major industry events worldwide ?? ???? At the Seamless Middle East & Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, Adrianna gained insights into MENA’s rapid growth in FinTech, banking, and e-commerce. She also met with key representatives of the space in the KSA. ???? In San Francisco, we attended the LF Decentralized Trust Summit 2024, where Przemyslaw and Dominik Zyskowski shared insights on how we can build a truly open-source European community for Distributed Ledger Technology. ???? Lastly, Agnieszka offered valuable strategies for successful DLT projects at the Fintech Summit Poland in Warsaw. Together with Patryk, they looked at the upcoming trends in the Polish Fintech Sector.
