A big thank you to Clare Harris for the opportunity to talk about our latest story, "Linda Has a Busy Week." This story is close to our founder, Lauren Piovesan's heart, as it highlights her mother's story and her family's experience as migrants from Italy. ?? Happy World Kindness Day! ?? Today, we want to celebrate the kindness teachers show their students day in and day out. We show kindness in the way that we care about our students, we commit to continual professional improvement to better meet their needs, and in the amazing levels of patience we have, even when students are pushing all our buttons! On this special day, we also hope teachers take a moment to be kind to themselves. Teaching is demanding, and the high standards you set for yourselves can make it hard to pause, rest, and recognise your efforts. Today, we hope you can allow yourself that kindness—you deserve it! At ESL Reads, our stories pay tribute to the glimpses of kindness our EAL students receive on their often challenging and complex journeys.
