Spreading love one rose at a time! ?? For Valentine's Day, our #CupidCrew made special deliveries to residents of Eskaton Gold River. Fresh roses were hand delivered to each person this morning, bringing smiles to so many faces and spreading love and kindness throughout the community. We ?? Kids Connection! During yesterday's Kids Connection activity, residents of Eskaton Village Grass Valley paired up with local schoolchildren and enjoyed a day of Valentine's themed arts and crafts. The young students joined their senior buddies in decorating wooden hearts and then got a calligraphy lesson in writing their names from an Eskaton resident. Supported by the Eskaton Foundation, Kids Connection is a program that fosters intergenerational friendships between Eskaton residents and local elementary schoolchildren. In addition to its educational component for young students, Kids Connection offers older adults with the opportunity to socialize, interact with younger generations, and make meaningful connections that uplift and enrich their lives.

Happy National Wear Red Day! ?? Today, our team at the Eskaton Support Center wore red to raise awareness for women's heart health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the U.S., and Eskaton is proud to participate in the American Heart Association's campaign to bring attention to and promote heart health and well-being. What an incredible Lunar New Year celebration! ???? Although the Big Game is this Sunday, Eskaton Granite Bay held their very own "Soup-er" Bowl competition last week. ?? Each department prepared a homemade soup of their choice, with the winner voted on by residents. The winning dish was a delicious Chicken Poblano soup made by the Life Enrichment Department! Second place went to a Seven Can soup, followed by a tie for third place between Italian Wedding soup and Polenta Parmesan Chicken soup. To celebrate the start of Lunar New Year, a very special meal was prepared at Eskaton Granite Bay. Our resident Tung (left) joined Culinary Director Justin (middle) and Server Natalie (right) in making handmade wontons for the community's Lunar New Year dinner. In the Chinese zodiac, 2025 marks the Year of the Snake which represents intelligence, resilience and love.
