Our Lab is excited to share that a new preprint paper,?"The Spread of Voting Misinformation: (Un)intentionally Disenfranchising Voters in the United States,"?authored by Vanessa Gregorio Josh Dehlinger, and Natalie Scala from Towson University, is now available on SSRN! ?? This paper examines how false narratives surrounding election security have fueled restrictive policies that undermine democratic participation in the United States. The paper traces the historical evolution of voting rights, revealing how misinformation has justified both explicit and subtle restrictions, particularly impacting marginalized communities.
